»MEDIUM. MEDITATION. MODULARITÄT.«
SOLO SHOW @MUCHO MAS! (TORINO)
23/03/2023 – 24/04/2023

His most recent exhibition at Mucho Mas! brings together the images of three closely related groups of works – called Medium, Meditation and Modularity. Together they form a subtle meditation on the beauty of nature and the environment that surrounds us. Sturdy banners, combined with a sparse and concrete presentation of the works, reflect Binder’s origins in the Black Forest, a rural area in southwest Germany.

»DRENCH CASE«
COLLABORATION WITH SCORN (MICK HARRIS) + ELEKTRON

»Drench Case is the new Sound Pack from Scorn and Lull artist and former Napalm Death drummer Mick Harris. It is a cabinet stuffed full of harsh and gritty samples, many industrial in flavor and carrying the scars of having weathered the most unforgiving of elements.«

I was very happy to provide the visual material for this unique collaboration with Swedish synthesizer producer ELEKTRON and SCORN.

»AUTOMATISMUS UND SYMBIOSE«
ÉDITIONS HARTPON

My latest photobook translates a computer-generated idea into a visual context. It is a whole sequence of photographs inspired by a sentence that was randomly generated with AI text tools: »Modularity is a singular transparency in which a phenomenon moves from human knowledge into the realm of emotion.«

»Music as a story of change and migration: Outernational is a transtraditional concert series at Radialsystem which goes in search of a contemporary, hybrid, global music, free of exoticism and essentialism. ‚Outernational Listening Sessions‘ and its political, social and post-colonial discussion will offer a framework of introduction to the concerts.

»THE ART OF MUSHROOMS«
SERRALVES

»This is the first contemporary art book devoted to a subject that has huge contemporary appeal – the mushroom. Fungi have been at the core of ritual, power and ideas around spirituality and strength for thousands of years. They are a catalyst for human understanding today. In recent years, the mushroom has become the inspiration for new models of contemporary art, politics, technology, economics, and design.

This book, edited by curator Francesca Gavin, will include work inspired by mushrooms in fine art, fashion, design, architecture, science, and technology. Alongside artworks in more traditional media such as photography, painting, sculpture, ceramics, collage and film, the compendium would also include mushroom ephemera, science imagery, graphics, illustration, fashion designers, furniture, and architecture.«
